Review by hotel critic
The location is excellent, providing easy access to walking trails and the charming village of Kaapsche Hoop, where wild horses roam freely. The accommodation at Silver Mist is clean and suitable for various group sizes, which is convenient for my changing travel companions. The staff were polite and efficient, but the service was not exceptional. Security concerns did cross my mind due to past incidents. While the amenities were basic, such as the limited dining options, firm beds, and average room facilities like a flat-screen TV and electric blankets, the overall experience at Silver Mist was satisfactory for a short stay. The quaint decor and picturesque views added a touch of charm to the property. In conclusion, Silver Mist Guest House offers good value for money and a comfortable stay in a beautiful location. It may not be a luxurious retreat, but it serves its purpose as a convenient and budget-friendly option in Kaapsche Hoop.
